SECTION 42-29-14

   § 42-29-14  Copies of bonds as evidence.– The general treasurer shall deliver an attested copy of the bond of anysheriff, and every sheriff shall deliver a copy of the bond of any deputysheriff, filed in his or her office, to any person applying and paying the sumof one dollar ($1.00) for the same, and the copy shall be received as evidencein any case, but if the execution of the bond shall be disputed, the court mayorder the original to be brought into court by a proper subpoena for thatpurpose, to be served on the general treasurer or sheriff.
