SECTION 42-29-23

   § 42-29-23  Mandates in writs and precepts.– Every officer to whom any writ or precept lawfully issued shall be deliveredshall execute the mandates therein contained as commanded, and shall makereturn of his or her action thereon. In case he or she is unable to execute themandates, he or she shall set forth the reason for failure in his or her return.
