SECTION 42-29-30

   § 42-29-30  Delivery of papers to successorin office. – All books, notes, bonds, obligations, and other papers which sheriffs shallreceive pursuant to this chapter shall be delivered by them over to theirrespective successors in office, as papers and documents pertaining thereto,and every sheriff unlawfully refusing to deliver the same on demand shall befined not less than fifty dollars ($50.00) nor more than five hundred dollars($500).
