SECTION 42-29-7

   § 42-29-7  Compensation of process deputiesin Providence county. – The sheriff of the county of Providence is hereby authorized and empowered topay to such deputy sheriffs as may be engaged in the process departmentcompensation at a rate not exceeding two dollars ($2.00) per day in excess ofthe compensation paid to deputy sheriffs serving in any other capacity.
