SECTION 42-45-9

   § 42-45-9  State historic preservationofficer. – The governor shall designate a state historic preservation officer to serve athis or her pleasure and until his or her successor is appointed and qualified.The state historic preservation officer for the national park service shallalso serve as state historic preservation officer. The state historicpreservation officer shall act as the state's representative to the federalgovernment, to other states, and to other interested parties in matters ofhistoric preservation.
