SECTION 42-56-6
§ 42-56-6 Management of institutions.– The director, or his or her designee, shall have the management, supervision,and control of the adult correctional institutions. The department or theappropriate division of the department also shall operate and repair thebuildings, grounds, and other physical property at those institutions.
