SECTION 42-56-8

   § 42-56-8  Departmental seal. – The department shall have a seal which shall have engraved upon it the words"Department of Corrections, State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations,"and the seal shall be affixed to all written contracts which the department isauthorized and directed to make under the provisions of this chapter, and thecontracts shall be signed by the director of the department. The seal shallalso be affixed to those other orders and papers issued by the department thatthe department may by rule or order direct.
