§ 42-60.1-3 - Scope – Exemptions.
SECTION 42-60.1-3
§ 42-60.1-3 Scope – Exemptions.– (a) The provisions of this chapter apply to the certification and enforcementof efficiency standards for the following types of new appliances sold, offeredfor sale, or installed in the state:
(1) Fluorescent ballasts of F40T12 and F96T12 lamps; and
(2) Luminaires with fluorescent ballasts for F40T12 andF96T12 lamps.
(b) The provisions of this chapter do not apply to newappliances manufactured in Rhode Island and sold outside of the state; newappliances manufactured outside of Rhode Island and sold at wholesale inside ofthe state for final retail sale and installation outside of Rhode Island;appliances installed in mobile homes at the time of construction; or appliancesdesigned expressly for installation and use in recreational vehicles.
