SECTION 42-60-7

   § 42-60-7  Emergency powers of politicalsubdivisions. – To protect life and property, the governing body of each political subdivisionof the state is authorized, after the declaration of an energy crisis by thegovernor, to carry out within its jurisdiction those measures that may beordered by the governor and any additional measures that the governing body maydeem necessary, subject to the limitations and provisions of this chapter;provided, that no action shall be inconsistent with any order, rule,regulation, or action of the governor.
