SECTION 42-62-28

   § 42-62-28  Pap smears – Qualityassurance standards. – A Pap smear eligible for reimbursement under § 42-62-26 shall bereimbursed only if the laboratory in which the Pap smear is processed islicensed by the Rhode Island department of health specifically to performcervical cytology, or is accredited by the American Society of Cytology, or isaccredited by the College of American Pathologists, or is a hospital accreditedby the joint commission on accreditation of health care organizations or theAmerican Osteopathic Association at the time the Pap smear is processed.
