SECTION 42-66-2

   § 42-66-2  Establishment of department– Director. – There is established within the executive branch of state government adepartment of elderly affairs. The head of the department shall be the directorof elderly affairs, who shall be a person qualified by training and experienceto perform the duties of the office. The director shall be in the unclassifiedservice, appointed by the governor with the advice and consent of the senate,and shall serve at the pleasure of the governor and until the appointment andqualification of the director's successor. The director shall receive a salaryas provided by law.
