SECTION 42-7-1

   § 42-7-1  Establishment – Powers ofgovernor. – There shall be an executive department. The head of the executive departmentshall be the governor. The governor shall have all powers and duties providedby R.I. Const., Art. IX, and by chapter 1 of title 43, and as furtherprescribed in all general laws and public laws relating to powers and duties ofthe governor.
