SECTION 42-7-3

   § 42-7-3  Duties of chief clerk. – It shall be the duty of the chief clerk to file and keep a record of allofficial communications, books and documents of a public nature transmitted tothe executive department and transfer those communications, books and documentsto his or her successor in office in accordance with the provisions of§§ 38-1-1 and 38-1-2.
