§ 42-72-17 - Transfer of functions from department of corrections. - Rhode Island Statutes

SECTION 42-72-17

   § 42-72-17  Transfer of functions fromdepartment of corrections. – There are transferred to the director of children, youth, and families:

   (1) Those functions of the department of corrections whichwere administered through or with respect to the division of youth services andthe division of field services to include generally and specifically juvenilediagnostic service: chapter 56 of this title, the department of corrections andchapter 18 of title 12;

   (2) All functions of the divisions of youth services andfield services of the department of corrections and all officers, employees,agencies, advisory councils, committees, commissions, and task forces relatingto children and their families of the divisions of youth services and fieldservices; and

   (3) So much of other functions or parts of functions andemployees and resources, physical and funded, related thereto of the directorof the department of corrections, as are incidental to and necessary for theperformance of the functions transferred by subdivisions (1) and (2).
