SECTION 42-8.1-8
§ 42-8.1-8 Protection of records. –The division of state archives and every other custodian of public recordsshall carefully protect and preserve them from deterioration, mutilation, loss,or destruction and, whenever advisable, shall cause them to be properlyrepaired and restored.
