SECTION 42-99-18

   § 42-99-18  Minority business enterpriseparticipation. – (a) The corporation shall carry out and comply with the policy of the state tosupport the fullest possible participation of firms owned and controlled byminorities and women (MBE) in all of its programs, contracts and purchase ofgoods and services in accordance with state law (chapter 14.1 of title 37 and"regulations governing participation by minority business enterprises in statefunded and directed public construction projects, construction contracts andprocurement contracts for goods and services").

   (b) Further, the authority shall adopt and make a good faitheffort to implement minimum utilization goals of twenty percent (20%) for MBE'sto function as retail vendors, concession owner/operators, and contractorswithin the completed convention center and its affiliated entities.
