SECTION 44-5-11.4

   § 44-5-11.4  Technology grants for propertytax administration. – The director of the department of revenue may establish a local grant-in-aidprogram whereby cities and towns may purchase microcomputers to be used for thepurpose of property tax administration. The director shall also cause to beprepared and distributed to all cities and towns that participate in thegrant-in-aid program, a uniform "software" application program which wouldadapt current state-of- the-art uses in property tax administration.
