   § 44-65-3  Imposition of surcharge. –A surcharge shall be imposed upon the net patient revenue received by everyprovider in each month at a rate of two percent (2.0%). Every provider shallpay the monthly surcharge no later than the twenty-fifty (25th) day of eachmonth following the month of receipt of net patient services revenue. Thissurcharge shall be in addition to any other fees or assessments upon theprovider allowable by law.
