SECTION 44-7-4

   § 44-7-4  Continuance in force ofcollection warrants. – All warrants for the collection of taxes shall continue in force until thewhole tax is collected, notwithstanding the time appointed for collecting thetax, or the term of office of the collector, may have expired, andnotwithstanding the collector may have paid the tax into the city or owntreasury.
