SECTION 44-8-9

   § 44-8-9  Payment of tax barring action bynonresident or absentee for property. – If the person summoned shall pay the tax and charges, or deliver property forthis purpose, or have his or her own property sold for this purpose, thisproceeding shall be sufficient to bar any action brought for this purpose bythe absent person.
