§ 45-12-22.5 - Unbudgeted expenditures.

SECTION 45-12-22.5

   § 45-12-22.5  Unbudgeted expenditures.– A municipality shall not incur expenditures nor obligate the municipality toexpend unbudgeted amounts in excess of one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000)without first notifying the city or town council of such proposed expenditureand identifying the source of funding. Further, a school committee or schooldepartment shall not incur accumulated unbudgeted expenditures or obligationsin excess of one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) without first notifyingthe chief financial officer of the municipality as to the proposed expenditureand identifying the source of funding. The financial officer shall include anysuch proposed expenditure in the monthly report required in § 45-12-22.2.
