SECTION 45-16-4
§ 45-16-4 Service of process in county.– Town sergeants shall serve and execute in any town of the county to which theybelong, all writs, summons, and other processes to them directed and which bylaw may or ought to be served and executed by town sergeants, unless otherwisespecially provided.
