SECTION 45-19-7

   § 45-19-7  Appropriations for relief offire fighters and dependents. – The general assembly shall annually appropriate any sum that it deems necessaryfor the relief of any fire fighter and for the relief of the widow or widoweror domestic partner and children of any fire fighter killed in the performanceof his or her duty. The controller, upon the receipt of proper vouchersapproved by the director of labor and training or the director's authorizedagent, is hereby authorized and directed to draw his or her orders upon thegeneral treasurer for the payment of the sum or sums that may be required fromtime to time.
