SECTION 45-2-10

   § 45-2-10  Election and appointment ofofficers and agents. – Towns and cities may and shall elect all town and city officers as are, or maybe, required by law, and may appoint any other officers as empowered by law,and any special agents for the transaction of any town or city business, notrequired by law to be performed by any officer known to the law, as they maydeem expedient.
