SECTION 45-2-16

   § 45-2-16  Naming of city or townconstructions. – Every city or town has the exclusive right, power, and authority to name anyand all city or town sponsored projects, including, but not limited to,buildings, bridges, edifices, and any and all other construction or erectionsponsored by the town or city and also including all projects constructed orerected pursuant to authority extended to municipal committees of city or towngovernment, including, but not limited to, school committees or housingauthorities. Each city and town may select committees through theirrepresentative councils for the purpose of determining the name to be selected.
