SECTION 45-21-35

   § 45-21-35  Legal adviser – Generaltreasurer – Executive director – Assistant director. – There shall be a legal counsel to the board appointed by the general treasurer.The general treasurer is the ex-officio chairperson of the retirement board andhe or she is the custodian of the funds and the treasurer of the retirementboard. There shall be an executive director appointed by the retirement boardin charge of the administration of the retirement system and who shall serve assecretary to the retirement board. In addition, the retirement board shallappoint an assistant director to serve as director and/or secretary in theabsence of the director.
