   § 45-21-61  Purchase of credit whileserving a prison sentence – Prohibited. – Notwithstanding any other provisions of the retirement law or rulings of theretirement board in accordance with the powers vested in this chapter, nomember is allowed to purchase service credits for time while incarcerated inprison, including but not limited to work release programs or home confinementprograms.
