   § 45-23-50  Special provisions –Development plan review. – (a) Municipalities may provide for development plan review, as defined in§ 45-24-49 of the Rhode Island Zoning Enabling Act of 1991, to be subjectto part of the local regulations.

   (b) In these instances, local regulations must include allrequirements, procedures and standards necessary for proper review andrecommendations of projects subject to development plan review to ensureconsistency with the intent and purposes of this chapter and with §45-24-49 of the Rhode Island Zoning Enabling Act of 1991.
