   § 45-23-52  Local regulations –Procedure for adoption and amendment. – (a) The local planning board, once authorized by the ordinance required under§ 45-23-51, shall adopt or repeal, and provide for the administration,interpretation, and enforcement of land development and subdivision reviewregulations.

   (b) Provisions of the local regulations and appendices shallbe presented in text and may incorporate maps, and other technical and graphicmaterial. The local regulations, and all of their amendments, shall beconsistent with all provisions of this chapter as well as the municipality'scomprehensive plan and zoning ordinance.
