   § 45-24.1-3.2  Legislative findings. –The general assembly hereby recognizes that gas regulators or gas meterslocated anywhere on the exterior of historic buildings or buildings located ina historic district may create a visual intrusion to the property and to thesurrounding historic district, and it is the intent of this chapter to provideprocedures for any public utility proposing to locate or relocate such deviceson residential historic buildings.
