SECTION 45-29-14

   § 45-29-14  Resolutions of necessity foracquisition by city. – Before any city exercises the power of eminent domain, the authority requestingit must first adopt a resolution declaring that the acquisition of the propertydescribed in the resolution is in the public interest and necessary for thepublic use, and that the property is included in an approved project under thehousing authorities law, and after the adoption by the city of a likeresolution.
