SECTION 45-29-3

   § 45-29-3  Resolution of necessity ofacquisition – Statement of compensation estimated as just. – The necessity for an acquisition as described in § 45-29-2 shall beconclusively presumed upon the adoption by the housing authority of aresolution declaring that the acquisition of the land, or interest in it,described in the resolution is in the public interest and necessary for thepublic use, and that the land, or interest in it, is included in an approvedproject under the housing authority law. Within six (6) months, the authorityshall cause to be filed in the land evidence records of the city, a copy of theresolution of the authority, together with a plat of the land, or interest init described, and a statement, signed by the chairperson of the authority, thatthe land, or interest in it, is taken pursuant to the provisions of§§ 45-29-1 – 45-29-12. Thereupon, the authority shall file inthe superior court in and for the county in which the land, or interest in itlies, a statement of the sum of money estimated by the authority to be justcompensation for the land taken.
