SECTION 45-29-4

   § 45-29-4  Vesting of title to land takenby authority. – Upon the filing of the copy of the resolution, plat, and statement in the landevidence records of the city, the filing in the superior court of thestatement, as described in § 45-29-3, and the depositing in the superiorcourt, to the use of the persons entitled to this, of a sum that the courtdetermines to be amply sufficient to satisfy the claims of all personsinterested in the land (and the court may, in its discretion, take evidence onthe question to determine the sum to be deposited), title to the land, orinterest in it, shall vest in the authority in fee simple absolute, and theauthority thereupon may take possession of the land, or interest in it.
