SECTION 45-32-9

   § 45-32-9  Optional features ofredevelopment plans. – A redevelopment plan may, without limitation, provide for the following:

   (1) A program of voluntary repair and rehabilitation ofbuildings and other improvements within the project area in accordance with theredevelopment plan; and/or

   (2) Acquisition of single or scattered parcels of realproperty within the project area and demolition or removal of buildings orimprovements where necessary to eliminate unhealthful, unsanitary, or unsafeconditions, lessen density, reduce traffic hazards, eliminate obsolete or otheruses detrimental to the public health, safety, morals, or welfare, or otherwiseto remove or prevent the spread of blight or deterioration, or to provide landfor needed community facilities.
