SECTION 45-4-14
§ 45-4-14 Powers of successor taxcollectors. – In case of the death, resignation, or removal of any collector of taxes, thecollector who is appointed to complete the collection of taxes has the samepower to collect taxes as is by law given to the collector first appointed.
