SECTION 45-4-2

   § 45-4-2  Meetings not to interfere withelections. – In towns not divided into voting districts, and in which town meetings for theelection of town officers and for the transaction of town business are held onthe same day as an election for the officers mentioned in § 17-18-5 isheld, the town meetings shall be held and conducted so as not to interfere orconflict with the provisions of chapters 2 – 4 of title 17.
