SECTION 45-5-10

   § 45-5-10  Fees for licenses andcommissions issued to officers. – Town councils and city councils are authorized to charge and collect forlicenses and commissions issued to officers elected or appointed by them, feesthat the town and city councils, respectively, fix by ordinance or resolution;provided, that the license fee for appointment of constable with power to servecivil process is not less than five dollars ($5.00) and not more thantwenty-five dollars ($25.00).
