SECTION 45-5-13

   § 45-5-13  Administration of oaths andengagements. – The town council of any town, and each of the members of the town council, mayadminister oaths in any matter pending before the council, and may engage townofficers upon their warrants or commissions, and a record shall be made, or acertificate given, of these engagements.
