SECTION 45-56-1

   § 45-56-1  Purpose of Westerly downtowncenter special services district. – The town of Westerly may establish by ordinance of its legislative body asprovided in this chapter, within its confines, a downtown center specialservices district to promote the economic and general welfare of its citizensand property owners through the preservation, enhancement, protection anddevelopment of the economic health of the municipality. The term "municipality"as used in this chapter means only the town of Westerly.
