SECTION 46-15-6.1

   § 46-15-6.1  Assistants and employees andsupport provided. – The board shall appoint a general manager, who shall not be subject to theprovisions of chapter 4 of title 36; and shall set his or her compensation andterms of employment. The general manager shall appoint such subordinates,assistants, and employees as may be required for the proper performance of thepowers and duties of the board. All those subordinates, assistants, andemployees shall be subject to the provisions of chapter 4 of title 36.
