SECTION 46-16-7

   § 46-16-7  Commission to act independentlyin some circumstances. – To the extent that the authority conferred upon the commission by this chapteris not otherwise exercisable by the commission under the provisions of the NewEngland Interstate Water Pollution Control Compact, the commission shall notrequire the financial or other support of the program or programs, authorizedhereby, by any state not having enacted legislation substantially similar tothis chapter.
