SECTION 46-18-8
§ 46-18-8 Effect of election –Judgment. – The election of the plaintiff shall be entered on the records of the court inthe case, and shall be forever binding on the plaintiff and defendant and allclaiming under them; and the judgment of the court shall follow the election ofthe plaintiff.
