   § 46-2-3  Agreements to hold federalgovernment harmless. – The director of the department of environmental management with the approval ofthe governor, is authorized to give assurances that the state will hold andsave the United States harmless from claims and damages resulting from anyimprovement or protection project and to enter into any agreement with thefederal government for that purpose.
