SECTION 46-2-9

   § 46-2-9  Condemnation by cities and towns– Appropriations and borrowing. – In order to carry out the intent of §§ 46-2-7 – 46-2-11 any cityor town is authorized to acquire by condemnation any land, easements, orrights-of-way required for the improvement or protection project, and any cityor town is authorized to make appropriations and to expend funds, in the mannerprovided by law, for the improvement or protection project, and to issue bondsor other evidences of debt, subject to statutory limitation, for theimprovement or protection project.
