SECTION 46-22.1-8

   § 46-22.1-8  Transfer or repossession ofvessel by operation of law. – If ownership of a vessel is transferred by operation of law, such as byinheritance, order in bankruptcy, insolvency, replevin, or execution sale, thetransferee, within thirty (30) days after he or she has acquired the right topossession of the vessel by operation of law, shall mail or deliver to thedepartment satisfactory proof of his or her ownership as the departmentrequires together with an application for a new or transfer certificate oftitle, and the required fee.
