SECTION 5-12-1
§ 5-12-1 Town and city inspectors. –There may be annually elected by the town councils of the several towns and bythe city councils of Providence and Newport an officer to be denominated"inspector of hides and leather", who shall be sworn to the faithful dischargeof his or her duties.
