SECTION 5-17-1

   § 5-17-1  Reports of removals to town orcity clerk. – It is made a duty of all persons, firms, or corporations, owning or operatingany moving van, furniture van, transfer wagon, express wagon, delivery wagon,commercial automobile, or other vehicle, who hauls or moves, or causes to behauled or moved, household goods, chattels, or personal effects of any residentof the state changing the place of his or her residence, to make a report ofthe removal to the town or city clerk of the town or city in which thosehousehold goods, chattels, or personal effects are located, and if the removalis from one city or town to another, the report shall be filed with the city ortown clerk from which the household goods, chattels, or personal effects aremoved.
