SECTION 5-22-21

   § 5-22-21  Penalty for unlicensed maskedballs with paid admission. – Whoever gets up, sets on foot, causes to be published, or otherwise aids ingetting up and promoting any masked ball or other public assembly at which thecompany wear masks or other disguises, and to which admission is obtained uponpayment of money or the delivery of any valuable thing or by a ticket orvoucher obtained for money or any valuable thing, without first obtaining fromthe city or town council of the city or town where that exhibition or otherpublic assembly is to be had a license for it, shall for the first offense befined not exceeding five hundred dollars ($500), and for any subsequent offensebe imprisoned not exceeding one year.
