SECTION 5-3.1-20

   § 5-3.1-20  Penalty for violations. –(a) Any person or entity that violates any provision of this chapter shall beguilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction, shall be subject to:

   (1) In the case of an individual, a fine of not more than onethousand dollars ($1,000), or imprisonment for not more than one year, or both,or

   (2) In the case of an entity a fine of not more than fivethousand dollars ($5,000).

   (b) Whenever the board has reason to believe that any personor entity is liable to punishment under this section, it may certify the factsto the attorney general of this state who may, in his or her discretion, causeappropriate proceedings to be brought.
