   § 5-33.1-6  Cancellation of contract.– Any person who has entered into a funeral service contract with a funeralservice establishment, upon written notice to the establishment and to theescrow agent may cancel any funeral service contract prior to the performanceby the establishment. In the event of a cancellation, all money in the escrowaccount paid by this person, together with all accrued income, shall bereturned within fifteen (15) days after the cancellation. The funeral serviceestablishment may retain an amount equal to the costs actually and reasonablyincurred in the performance of the contract; this amount shall not exceed twoand one-half percent (2.5%) of the amount in the escrow account on the date thepurchaser cancels the contract, or two hundred dollars ($200) whichever isgreater.
